There's absolutely no plot and minimal character development. It's brainlessness is especially perplexing considering what the director Vikas Behl is capable of (Queen).

Its an utterly senseless movie that assumes the audience is full of idiots. All actors except Pankaj Kapoor have probably not acted in such frivolous scenes earlier and it shows. In this package they have also thrown in a quawwali. Karan Johar has also been used in a Q and A session " Mehndi with Karan" I think. There is a clever use of old songs like " Neend na mujhko aaye" and " Eena meena deeka".The songs " Raita phail gaya" and Gulabo" have been done well. He needs to realise that there is a limit to ridiculous comedy His use of music however saves the day and there are a couple of nice tunes and dances which have become popular. It becomes difficult to imagine that the director of Queen has turned out this drivel in the garb of comedy. As the scenes unfold they get more and more inane with slapstick thrown in.The climax is equally ridiculous. Animation is used for entertainment but normally this does not work for Indian audiences. Sample this, FTB ( Father of the bride), BTB ( bride to be), PP ( pairi painna).
There are some acronyms used as a gimmick. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. But there is no method in the madness and the proceedings get reduced to an unfunny farce.There is an attempt to create comedy at every stage. There is enough madness and frivolity as these characters interact with each other. Not to be left behind the bridegroom is equally ludicrous with a jacket over his bare torso.And yes there is a green frog called Ashok I think. Sanjay Kapoor plays the boy's father called Fundwani who brandishes a golden pistol and wears a pendant in the shape of letter S which stands for Sindhi and not Samdhi he clarifies to Pankaj Kapoor. The entire movie is about a big fat wedding where Pankaj Kappor has plans to marry his insomniac daughter in a rich family. Sure enough our hero JJ lands up swimming in the same lake. His girlfriend, the insomniac is a pretty little thing who has equally quirky behavior who goes for midnight swims in the lake since she cannot sleep. Fixit and a charmer who smiles shyly as the background song tells us that he is a Hotty hotty. Then there a young man called Jagjinder Joginder ( named after his mother -father) who is a wedding planner, choreographer, Mr. She harasses everyone including her brother and her assistant and does not bat an eyelid as she drives them up the wall with her tantrums. There is a Hitler like grandmother on a wheelchair who orders people about. This probably is the only sensible scene in this crazy concoction of assorted characters each quirkier than the other. Ditto for Shahid who has also slept for the first time. This because she has slept for the first time. In Bollywood, even a B grade film also would have censor problems but in the hands of director Vikas Bahl ( Queen) their sleeping together, she on the sofa and he sitting on the floor with their hands clasped presents such a cute picture that it brings tears to the father of the girl.( Pankaj Kapoor). In Hollywood the film might have warranted an A certificate.
